After passing through H2 separator for removal of liquid from hydrogen, the raw hydrogen from the generator transmits into H2 purifier, inside of this, firstly raw H2 gas goes into the gas-moisture separator for removal of water. In order to remove the moisture from hydrogen further, hydrogen enters the dryer A or B or C, in which the moisture will be adsorbed by molecular sieve and product hydrogen will be sent into the product hydrogen storage tank.
After molecular sieve has been adsorbed with the saturated moisture, it must be regenerated. In this case the H2 gas is to be heated and switched into the regenerated dryer, the heated hydrogen evaporate the moisture adsorbed in the molecular sieve and leaves from the regenerated dryer. The main streams flows out and passes through cooler and the moisture is to be condensed into liquid and then separated from the mainstreams. Finally, it flows into the working dryer for moisture removal.
There are totally three operational sub-states in one operational period of hydrogen purification system, called as Z1 state, Z2 state and Z3 state, each state takes eight hours and full period is 24 hours.
